The Project

Freedom Hill is a long-term regenerative project based on a traditional finca in Álora, Málaga. Our goal is to restore the land, build a self-sufficient community, and create a welcoming place where people can stay, contribute, learn, and connect.

We combine off-grid living, permaculture, hospitality, and community-building to create a practical and inspiring model for a slower, more intentional way of life.

The Land

The land at Freedom Hill is wild, beautiful, and unforgiving. Shaped by strong sun, extreme weather, dry seasons, and the constant challenge of water scarcity. This is a completely off-grid finca, and every step of its renovation requires patience, resourcefulness, and respect for the environment.

Our goal is to transform this hard land into a thriving habitat for plants, wildlife, and people. We are working to restore balance slowly and naturally, creating a place where life can return, roots can grow deeper, and nature can recover over time.

Off-Grid Finca

With no easy connection to modern services, the house and land require us to work carefully, creatively, and step by step as we renovate and adapt the space for daily life. This kind of place demands self-reliance: water must be managed thoughtfully, electricity has to be generated on site, and every improvement has to respect the reality of the land. But that is also what makes it meaningful — we are not just restoring a house, we are building a way of living that can stand on its own.
